Agua salada para las fibras

La ventaja de los muebles de bambú, de ratán y de otras fibras vegetales es que son ligeros y resistentes, pero suelen acumular polvo en el trenzado y las uniones. Para limpiar los muebles usa una esponja humedecida en una solución de agua con sal y seca con un paño que no deje pelusa. Por último, aplica una capa de barniz incoloro para exteriores a los que estén a la intemperie: los protegerá del sol, de la lluvia y de los cambios de temperatura.

Renuévalos con pintura en aerosol

Cuando la fibra ha perdido color o está muy deteriorada, lo mejor es pintar los muebles con un aerosol, que penetra mejor en la trama. Usa un tinte natural como la nogalina (si no están barnizados), un barniz de un tono más oscuro que la fibra para disimular los desperfectos, o una pintura de color. Para un acabado uniforme, aplícalos a ráfagas cortas, y a la distancia indicada en el envase.
